Counterpoint is the combination of two or more different tunes played at the same time

as defined in the Cambridge dictionary. The name was chosen by the founders looking to build a space for any individual voice to be heard and respected.

We are building an Association for Art Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the Oja Valley, a t the heart of La Rioja (Spain). There, we want to explore new ways for creation proposed by our members, and together we will find the way to support us. We also want to contribute to the digital presence of our members by sharing our journey with our friends around the world, since we are born with an International calling.  

What are the GOALS of Contrapunto?

• ART INNOVATION from the Oja Valley exploring and developing new media and new formats.
• INTERNATIONAL MUSIC AND ART PORJECT DEVELOPMENT, from the Rioja site and via the Internet.
• CULTURAL ACTIVITIES PRODUCTION FOR ALL AGES -by our own means or in collabotration iwht other entities-.
• SUPPORT AND ADVICE TO ARTISTS in the use of new technologies.

What ACTIVITIES can Contrapunto · Valle del Oja engage in?

• ART and MUSIC EVENTS aiming to provide experiences with all 5 senses.
• Art & creative Innovation WORKSHOPS, EXCHANGES AND COLLABORATIONS.
• CHATs y EDUCATIONAL MEETINGS about management and technology for artists.
• INVITATIONS to local, national and international entities which share our mission and goals.

In 2025 three promoters decide to start the idea of this association from their experience, and they choose the small town of Ezcaray as their headquarters. They are in their first steps and filling the necessary paperwork to be able to  get started with their activities in 2025. You can read the official documentation below.
